McVay Plumbing Heating & Cooling Company

On Feb 15, 2025, when my sewer line backed up, I was praying that it was one of those basic things where they could snake the line and clear the clog. However, since I’m living in a 100-year-old house, I wasn't so lucky. Turns out the issue was a collapsed terracotta pipe, and the location was about 6 feet outside of the house and 8 feet down right underneath my concrete walk. So, I started the process of looking for a company to excavate and replace the line. I called numerous companies looking for someone that would be truthful and resolve the issue at a fair price. And, after reviewing all the estimates, there was one company I decided to use, but for some reason was hesitant to accept their offer. Thankfully, I made one more call and had McVay Plumbing come out for an estimate. I am INCREDIBLY happy I made that call! Adam (the Supervisor) was extremely thorough in reviewing the problem and its location. He explained to me exactly where the other companies were flat out lying to me regarding their assessments, and, found out additional information about the line that no one else noticed. By the end of our conversation, my comfort level had risen exponentially, and I gave McVay Plumbing the job. The price was fair and when the crew showed up to work, they were friendly, respectful, and diligent in their work. I did have a concern about my chain link fence being torn apart because it was in the “dig” zone. Josh and his crew took great care in removing the fence, the excavation, the repairing of the pipe, and putting everything back. One part of the project that is not yet complete is the repair of the concrete and they will come back in the spring to do that. I absolutely recommend using McVay Plumbing for your project and the next issue that pops up for me, I’ll be calling as well!

Everyone at McVay Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning was so kind and efficient in helping me get a new furnace and air conditioner. When my furnace went out, John came the next day to explain the different units that would work best in my home, as well as scheduling installation the following day. The installers were here on time and by afternoon, I had heat again. I couldn’t have found a better company to help me.

I have used McVay Plumbing for a variety of services, but recently had AC installed in my 2nd and 3rd floors. It was a complicated process given that my home has no duct work and we had to go with a Bryant ductless system. It took the team 5 days to install, but they did a fantastic job. They were clean, courteous, and explained the process up front. I was updated daily on what they were trying to do for that day. The system is impressive and the service was outstanding. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for the right service provider for heating & cooling. McVay is the way to go!

We've had McVay out a few times over the past few months for different projects and really like working with Kelsey! I always ask for her now. She does a great job and is very easy to talk to. She explains our options and helps us to make the best decisions. I also appreciate working with her since my husband is often gone at work and I'm home alone- now I know who will be showing up at my door and that I can trust her.

We had another excellent experience with McVay Plumbing (3rd time we’ve used them). We had frozen pipes that were in an awkward place and our tech was very patient and careful to do the work without causing additional damage for access. We were offsite and they kept us informed from start to finish. The tech even sent us a short video after the work was completed so we could see what he had done to unfreeze the pipes. They’re fair, professional, and they get it done right the first time.
